Process

I began by sketching three thumbnail compositions to explore different layouts and value structures. After a round of team feedback, the second thumbnail stood out as a favorite.

To set the right mood, I experimented with different color palettes before settling on a purplish tone, as I felt that it evoked the atmosphere of a late-night city scene.

Project Information

This piece was created for a Persona 5 fanzine project aimed at raising money for charity. The zine's theme was about swapping characters' roles within the story, and I chose to reinterpret a familiar meetup spot from the game with the character roles being reversed.
